Three generations of women from the Mapuche community Millalonco Ranquehue, in Southern Argentina, tell us about their fifty-year struggle resisting eviction attempts by the Argentinean army. Through daily life scenes, views of the landscape, testimonies and archival materials, this documentary shows their determination to defend their ancestral lands and their culture, and reveals a cosmovision where human beings live in harmony with nature and with everything in it. Their story is part of the collective story of the Mapuche people. Inhabitants of a land rich in mineral resources, pristine sources of water and touristic value, the Mapuches have been defending their lands and their culture for hundreds of years, from the early wars during the Spanish conquest to the present threats by foreign enterprises.
