Die Rueckkehr der Aramaeer

Tur Abdin là tên của quê hương của các Kitô hữu Aramean ở miền nam Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ, cách biên giới Syria không xa. Nó từng là một trong những khu vực định cư đầu tiên của các Kitô hữu, nhưng bây giờ các Kitô hữu là một thiểu số nhỏ ở đây. Hầu hết các Kitô hữu Aramean đã trốn thoát khỏi chiến tranh, bạo lực và đàn áp, đến Đức. Bây giờ một số Arameans lưu vong muốn trở về từ Goeppingen đến miền đông nam Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ để cứu di sản văn hóa của họ và xây dựng lại những ngôi làng bị phá hủy. Tur Abdin is the name of the motherland of the Aramean Christians in south Turkey, not far from the Syrian border. It used to be one of the first settlement areas of the Christians, but now the Christians are a small minority here. Most Aramean Christians escaped from the war, violence and repression, to Germany. Now some exiled Arameans want to return from Goeppingen to south-eastern Turkey to save their cultural heritage and to rebuild the destroyed villages. We follow them on their way to the motherland and document the struggle for the saving of the millenary old culture.
