Bộ phim kể về sự thật cuộc đời của ông trùm truyền thông, Assis Chateaubriand (Marco Ricca), một trong những người chịu trách nhiệm đưa TV đến Brazil. Kịch bản dựa trên tác phẩm đồng âm của Fernando Morais. "Chatô" mang đến một phiên bản lãng mạn hóa cuộc đời của Assis Chateaubriand, người sáng lập Associated J Tạp chí (Diario Associados), mạng lưới đài phát thanh và báo chí lớn nhất ở Mỹ Latinh. The film tells the facts of life of the mogul of communications, Assis Chateaubriand (Marco Ricca), one of those responsible for bringing TV to Brazil. The screenplay based on the homonymous work of Fernando Morais. "Chatô" brings a romanticized version of the life of Assis Chateaubriand, founder of the Associated Journals (Diarios Associados), the largest network of radio stations and newspapers in Latin America.
