The film explores the terror of being female amidst the accelerated haze of contemporary popular culture. Through evoking potentially abject worlds of ecstasy and pain within the settings of rap culture, Gothic fetishism, 90s music videos, and obscuring the lines between them, the film looks for ways of deriving pleasure in absurd juxtapositions of submission, surrender, romance, and horror.
