A documentary about the life of widows in India, a group of people that comprises some 40 million women who are marginalized and expelled from their homes and from society to the death of their husbands following tradition and the ancient superstition that has transmitted they are a symbol of bad luck and the cause of the death of their husbands. They were formerly forced to burn alive at their death and are now condemned to the most absolute marginalization and social invisibility.
