Every year, thousands of women travel out of Ireland in secret and as a last resort. They travel with a common purpose, often driven by extreme circumstances - pregnancy as a result of rape, foetal abnormality, fear of social isolation and financial desperation - to have an abortion. They make the journey because Ireland has an outright ban on abortion, despite being in breach of international law. With first-time access to the Abortion Support Network, this investigative documentary film explores the issue from the perspectives of women affected by the ban.
