Libya, the Revolution and Me

Vì không bao giờ có đủ thời gian để gần gũi với mọi người trong bản tin buổi tối, tôi quyết định đi du lịch ở đó một mình. Người dân ở Benghazi đã rảnh 4 tháng vào thời điểm đó và thuyết phục tôi đi xa hơn đến thành phố Misrata đang bị bao vây. Bỗng nhiên tôi thấy mình ở tiền tuyến, được bảo vệ bởi những người cách mạng, và dĩ nhiên, bởi Allah.

The first dead body I ever saw, was the one from Muammar al-Qaddafi. My first encounter with the Libyan Revolution was when I was working for German TV. Since there is never enough time to get close to the people in the evening news I decided to travel there alone. The people in Benghazi were already free for 4 months at the time and convinced me to go further to the besieged city of Misrata. Al of a sudden I found myself at the front line, protected by the revolutionaries, and, of course, by Allah.
