House Of Afflictions diễn ra vào cuối những năm 1970 và kể câu chuyện về Kate Beckley (Michelle Darkin-Price) từng là tác giả tội phạm bán chạy nhất nước Anh nhưng đã nhiều năm kể từ cuốn tiểu thuyết cuối cùng của cô vì một bi kịch xảy ra với Kate và chồng John, Con gái Julia biến mất ... Kate sắp phải đối mặt với sự thật rằng Julia có thể không bao giờ được tìm thấy và đã quyết định bắt đầu viết lại, thật không may Kate cảm thấy khó khăn để trở lại bằng văn bản do những phiền nhiễu liên tục xung quanh cô nên đã quyết định thuê một nhà tạm để viết. Gần như ngay lập tức Kate bắt đầu trải qua những sự kiện huyền bí, Julia có quay lại không? hoặc có điều gì độc ác hơn đang rình rập trong nhà trước một người mẹ đau buồn?

House Of Afflictions takes place in the late 1970.s and tells the story of Kate Beckley (Michelle Darkin-Price) once UK.s best selling crime author but it has been years since her last novel due to a tragedy which befell Kate and her husband John, their daughter Julia disappeared... Kate is coming to terms with the fact that Julia may never be found and has decided to start writing again, unfortunately Kate is finding it difficult to get back into writing due to constant distractions around her so decides to hire a temporary home to write. Almost instantly Kate begins experiencing paranormal occurrences, has Julia come back? or is there something more sinister lurking in the house preying on a grieving mother?
