Heinrich Bölls Irland

Năm 1954, Heinrich Böll lần đầu tiên đi du lịch đến Ireland và báo cáo về hòn đảo xanh cho nhiều tờ báo Đức. In 1954 Heinrich Böll travelled fort he first time to Ireland and reported about the green island for various German newspapers. The book which came out of it has been a longseller and a standard item in the luggage of many Germans. More than a classic of travel literature, the book is a text about the perception of others, "it.s an a empty," the author explains "to depict a country in various pieces of prose, in a compressed form, where the sweet mixes with the bitter or the bi er with the sweet all the time, prayers with curses, a country where poetry lies on the streets [...]".
